About the Service

  The 050 plus Service is provided in conformance with the Standard Terms and Conditions for IP Network Services(hereinafter referred to as the ''Service Agreement''), the Standard Terms and Conditions for 050 plus Transfer Gateway Function(hereinafter referred to as the ''Terms of Use'') and the License Agreement For 050 plus Application (hereinafter referred to as the ''License'') stipulated by NTT Communications Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the ''Company''). The Service consists of an 050IP telephone number granted for use with an 050 plus Transfer Gateway Device (hereinafter referred to as the ''GW'') provided by the Company, and delivery of voice communications between the 050IP Telephone Service and the 050 plus Application (hereinafter referred to as the ''App'') utilizing the 050 plus Transfer Gateway Function provided in conformance with the Service Agreement, the Terms of Use and the License. When a call is made from the App to an ordinary subscribed telephone or other call destinations, it is received by the GW and then connected to the call destination. The subscriber's 050IP telephone number is displayed at the call destination. When a call is placed to the subscriber's 050IP telephone number, it is received by the GW which then transmits automatic voice guidance (toll free) specified by the Company to the caller.
  In applying for and using the Service, be sure to check the Service Agreement and Terms of Use on the Web site(http://www.ntt.com/tariff/comm/yakkan.html) and others, and the License for the Application Download Service. Also, please note that the Company may change the Service Agreement, Terms of Use and License. In this case, the fees and charges, and other conditions of the Service provision shall conform to the new Service Agreement, Terms of Use and License. Whenever changes are made, notification of the changes to the Service Agreement, Terms of Use and License shall be made on the abovementioned Web site and others.

Conditions of the Service Provision

  • Only residents of Japan may subscribe to the Service.
  • A mobile phone or computer device (hereinafter referred to as the ''Device'') whose operation capability is approved by the Company, a phone number (including mobile phone number, PHS number, landline number) and a credit card (restricted to credit cards with credit card numbers of 14-16 digits) ,or OCN contractor are required to subscribe to the Service.
  • When applying for the Service, the method of payment shall be restricted to payment by credit card. In addition, the OCN contractor can combine payment for the Service with OCN service charge by specific application.
  • When you cancel the OCN contract in case of the payment to combine with OCN service charge,''050 plus'' will also be cancelled.
  • Please change the method of payment from the control menu of the 050 plus application before the cancellation of OCN contract.
  • Environment for Use of the Service
    • A mobile phone or computer environment that allows installation of the App provided by the Company is required.
    • Use the Application Download Service fit for the Device to download the App to the Device.
    • A network environment that allows the Device to access the Internet is required.
  • Refer to the Web site (http://506506.ntt.com/english/ipphone/plus/notice.html) for an up-to-date list of the Devices and operating systems whose operation capability is approved by the Company. Devices not listed are not support.
  • When the latest version of the App is released by the Company, subscribers are responsible for providing an environment that allows use of the latest version of the App. Subscribers who cannot use the latest version of the App may not be able to use the Service.
  • Subscribers who use the Service temporarily during international travel or an overseas business trip, or in similar cases must comply with the laws and regulations of the destination country/countries in which the Service is used. Subscribers who use the Service temporarily during international travel or an overseas business trip, or in similar cases should be aware that the App required to use the Service may be prohibited by the Japanese laws and regulations (Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Law, and relevant governmental and ministerial ordinances) from being carried into some countries. Contract for the Service

  • Identity Verification (Verification by SMS / Application confirmation call)
    • At the time of application for the Service, the Verification by SMS or the Subscription Check Call will be made to the phone number registered by the applicant to confirm the applicant's phone number.
    • You will receive a SMS from Company in the Verification by SMS.
    • The Subscription Check Call will provide automatic answering guidance or operator from the Company. The phone number displayed for the Subscription Check Call at automatic answering guidance is 03-6629-1801.
    • If the phone number registered by Subscription Check Call or Verification by SMS can not be confirmed, the application will not be completed.
    • If the applicant's phone number cannot be confirmed within 1 hour from the time the Subscription Check Call is placed, the application will be invalidated. In this case, the applicant must reapply for the Service.
  • When you transfer a contract phone to another person, please change to a new number from the Control Menu of the app. In addition, if you do not have a new phone number, please cancel the contract of "050 plus" before transfer.
  • Minors wishing to apply for the Service must obtain the consent of their legal guardian (parent) before applying.
  • A maximum of 20 contracts for the Service may be concluded with the same phone number.
  • A maximum of 5 contracts for the Service may be concluded with the same credit card.

Service Restrictions

  • A subscriber's communication equipment and equipment usage including his/her Device settings, network congestion and others may affect the quality of calls or make it impossible to send and receive calls,images,messages, and talk on the phone, and sending and receiving of images from the App. Also, it may be impossible to store messages at the voice mail service center. Additionally, quality of voice may be affected during sending or receiving of images.
  • When the App is not running (includes when the App is running in the background) on the Device, incoming calls cannot be received. If the voice mail settings have been configured, messages can be stored even if the App is not running.
  • On certain Devices, during a call in progress made from the App, an incoming call to 090 and 080 and 070 Device phone functions will be given priority by the Device's transmission system or installed applications and others and the subscriber will not be able to continue the call from the App. In this case, the amount of time from interruption of the call to disconnection of the communication by the Company (maximum of approximately 170 seconds) will be counted as call time in calculating the cost of the call. (Restricted to calls sent from the App.) As of November 4, 2014, the Company has confirmed that this event occurs on the following Devices.

  • About particular devices, a call on the app might be terminated when not using Headset (Earphone microphone).In this case, it will occur call charges for a time connected.

  • On the Devices other than those noted above, when the subscriber is not able to continue a call from the App due to the effects of other applications installed on the Device and others, the communication will be automatically disconnected after a set amount of time has passed from interruption of the call. In this case, the amount of time from interruption of the call to disconnection of the communication will be counted as call time in calculating the cost of the call. (Restricted to calls sent from the App.)
  • When the Service is used to make a sustained call that lasts in excess of 5 hours, the call may be disconnected.
  • Subscribers may not be able to make calls or configure settings when work is being done on the Company's telecommunications equipment.
  • Subscribers to the Service may not transfer their 050IP telephone number.
  • Functions that are not provided as the Device functions cannot be used with the App.

Fees and Charges

  • Subscribers to the Service will be charged a basic monthly fee, a universal service charge *1, and call charges.
    • Subscribers will not be charged the basic monthly fee and the universal service charge for the next month and the month in which they apply for the Service (first month and second month).Even if not charged basic monthly fee , will be charged call charges.
    • Subscribers will be charged the basic monthly fee and the universal service charge even in months when no call charges are incurred. When the contract for the Service is cancelled partway through the month, the subscriber will be charged the basic monthly fee for that month. (The fee will not be calculated on a prorated basis.)
  • The rates of fees and charges are as follows.

  • If the total charge includes a fraction of ¥1, the fraction will be rounded off the amount the subscriber is billed for.
  • The subscriber will bear the packet communications charge required for the Internet connection to download the App, send and receive calls, images, messages, and talk on the phone from the App, so use of a packet flat-rate service is recommended. Also, a packet communications charge is incurred for automatic communications that may be made by the App on a regular basis.
  • Cost-saving rate display function
    • The amount displayed by the cost-saving rate display function is only approximate. Depending on the rate plan of the subscriber's mobile carrier, the rate may not be cost-saving (as of April 2014).
    • Check the precautions in regard to the cost-saving rate display function on the Web site (http://050plus.com/profit/index.html).
    • The cost-saving rate display function cannot be used on some Devices.
  • About billing statement and details of charges
    • You can check billing statement and details of charges only in the app.If you pay with OCN service, you can check billing statement only in OCN my page (http://mypage.ocn.ne.jp/).
    • Tax is not included in the amounts.
    • We do not notify you billing amount in advance. Billing amount is fixed on 17th of each month. Please check from the app by yourself.
    • You can check billing statement for the past three months in the app.
    • Details of charges will be shown from the noon of next day.

Terms and Conditions of "050 plus Set Discount"

   This service is provided to apply monthly fee discount, in conformance with the Standard Terms and Conditions for IP Network Services (hereinafter referred to as the ''Service Agreement''), stipulated by NTT Communications Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the ''Company''). Please confirm the details of Service Agreement.
  • Service Information
    • This service gives \150 (\162 tax included) discount of monthly fee for users subscribing 050plus when subscribing OCN mobile ONE.
  • Subscription Information
    • This service needs subscription of the payments were combined with OCN mobile One charges except following cases;
      • Subscribed 050 plus when subscribing OCN mobile ONE.
      • Users already subscribed OCN mobile ONE, and subscribed 050 plus on“My page”website.
    • This service needs customer number of OCN mobile ONE (10 digits number starting from “N”), and needs 050 number of 050 plus.
    • Please subscriber of OCN mobile ONE subscribe to this service.

Call Destinations Not Available From the Service

  • The call destinations below are not available from the Service.
    • Calls to emergency numbers (110, 118, 119) and 3-digit phone number services (104, 115, 177, etc)
    • Calls to numbers that begin with 0170, 0910, etc
    • Calls to business operators that have not concluded an interconnection agreement with the Company (providers that offer free calling, including IP phones other than IP phones of providers that charge for calls)
    • Calls to numbers that begin with 0033 or another business operator identification number *Other call destinations not available from the Service are the same as those unavailable from OCN.Phone and OCN.Phone Office. Refer to the Web site for detailed information (http://www.ocn.ne.jp/voip/phone/service3/).

Sending and Receiving Calls

  • Calls are sent and received using the 050IP telephone number (an 11-digit number beginning with 050) that is provided by the Company as part of the Service.
  • The 050IP telephone number (an 11-digit number beginning with 050) is displayed at the call destination for calls sent using the Service except when 184 is dialed at the beginning of the telephone number of the call destination.
  • For incoming calls to the subscriber's 050IP telephone number, Discriminating tone specified by the Company is transmitted to the caller.

Call Quality

  • Due to the effects of communication equipment including the subscriber's Device environment, the form of utilization of the IP communication network service, network congestion and others, the subscriber may be unable to make a call through the Service or the quality of calls made through the Service may be negatively affected. When a call cannot be made, a call charge may still be incurred.
  • When a communication line switches during a call made through the service, a call may be soundless because of reconnect communication. When a call is soundless, a call charge may still be incurred.

Voice Mail

  • Voice mail is available for use the next day after the day the subscriber concludes a contract for the Service.
  • An environment that allows the Device connection to the Internet is required to make voice mail settings.
  • The voice mail default setting is Off. To use voice mail, configure voice mail settings from the Optional Settings in the App's Management Menu.
  • Configure the voice mail setting to On for voice mail messages to be stored by the voice mail service center when an incoming call cannot be received by the App or a call is in progress or cannot answer the call.
  • The voice mail function stores the message and informs the subscriber of the call by sending a Call Notification E-Mail to the previously registered e-mail address of the subscriber. The recorded message can be attached to the Call Notification E-Mail with a voice file (Wav format). (However, some mobile phone mail functions or reception environments used by subscribers will be unable to receive the voice file.) One voice file can be a maximum of approximately 800kbytes.
  • The Call Notification E-Mail is sent from the 050plus.com domain. When settings are configured to block unwanted e-mails, change settings so that an e-mail from this domain can be received.
  • If the e-mail address is changed, configure the E-Mail Notification Settings in the App menu to reflect the change.
  • The packet communications charge for receiving the Call Notification E-Mail is borne by the receiver of the e-mail.
  • To play messages from the voice mail center, the telephone equipment (incl. mobile phone, PHS, etc.) must be able to send a PB signal (push button signal).
  • A call charge may be incurred to play the message from the voice mail center. In this case, the subscriber's telecommunications carrier and others will bill the subscriber for the call.
  • A recorded message can have a maximum length of 90 seconds.
  • The voice mail center can store a maximum of 20 messages. Messages in excess of 20 will not be recorded.
  • A message will be automatically erased 168 hours (7 days) after it is recorded.

Message function

  • Message Function is available for use from the day the service is subscribed.
  • WindowsPC app does not support the message function.
  • Message Function is available in between 050 plus numbered Devices that has been set up to enable message function.
  • If a user of message function makes a call without number display, message function will not be able to be used.
  • When using message function, the Subscriber will send a message through a server. The message will be stored in the recipient's device. The Company may delete the messages stored in the server for three months.
  • The Company cannot resent the messages deleted by the Subscriber.
  • The maximum number of images that can be sent per one message is 500 characters.
  • The Subscriber can send a message to up to 20 telephone numbers of 050 plus at the same time.
  • The Subscriber can block some number. The Subscriber cannot send any message to the blocked number nor receive any message from it, unless the subscriber or the blocked number send the message to multiple numbers.
  • If you send a message by incoming call screen, this call will be disconnected.

Contract Cancellation

  • Contracts may be cancelled from the App. A contract cannot be cancelled by deleting the App.
  • A contract cannot be cancelled on the same day it is concluded.
  • When a new contract is concluded after a contract is canceled, the subscriber must choose a new 050IP telephone number.
  • After the cancellation, it may be able to send and receive calls, talk, and sending and receiving of images and messages the App for a while. In addition, the call charges incurred during that period will be charged.

Precautions for Use of the Service

  • Competing Risk
    • It may not be possible to send and receive calls, talk, and sending and receiving of images and messages from 050 plus due to the condition of a Device's telephone function line or the other applications installed on the Device.
  • The times when a communication starts and ends may be affected by network congestion and others, resulting in a difference between the times that the subscriber performs the Device operations and the times that are measured by the Company's equipment. In this case, the call charge will be calculated based on the times measured by the Company's equipment.
  • A call may be cut off when there are changes to 3G lines or Wi-Fi network areas.
  • The PB signal (push button signal) sent from the App may not be correctly recognized by the receiver of the signal due to the condition of the subscriber's Device communication.
  • The 050IP telephone number and a password for various settings necessary for use of the Service are required to configure settings and others, and making changes to the content of the application, so they should be carefully managed by the subscriber so that they are not forgotten. The Company will assume no responsibility or liability whatsoever for damages resulting from mistaken use of the Service or misuse of the Service by a third party.
  • The subscriber is responsible for updating for himself/herself his/her personal information (address {zip code}, mobile phone number, e-mail address) and credit card information from the App's Management Menu. Even if your information is mistaken by yourself, or you forget change and damage occurs, the company takes no responsibility.
  • A maximum of 100 calls are displayed on the App's calls received and calls sent registers. If the number of calls exceeds the maximum number, old calls are deleted in chronological order.
  • If the same 050IP telephone number is set on several Devices
    • Calls cannot be sent and received simultaneously by the Devices and subscribers cannot talk and send or receive an image simultaneously over several Devices.
    • Because the Device receiving a call is automatically determined depending on the communication condition, the subscriber cannot make the choice as to which Device receives a call. The subscriber should quit the App of the Device on which he/she does not wish to receive a call.

Prohibitions

  • As stipulated by the Service Agreement, the Terms of Use, or License, following actions (including that of sending or receiving images and messages) are strictly prohibited to be taken by the user of ''Photo talk'': Any action that infringe or may infringe intellectual rights(Patent, Practical model, Copyright, Design right, Trademark sign) of others; sending images or documents that may be considered obscenity, child pornography, or child abuse; sending messages, impersonating others; sending advertise messages to many and unspecified persons without the consent of the advertising target; sending messages which will be or are likely to be repulsive to others; or any other action, which our company may consider such action to be offensive to public order and morality, or may violate the right of another.
  • Do not install the App on a Device that is used according to conditions other than the conditions for service provision set by the Device manufacturers and mobile carriers. Contact the manufacturer for information on conditions for provision of the Device.
  • Do not disassemble, decompile, reverse-engineer, alter or embed other software in the App, or try to determine the source code.
  • Duplication of the content of the App in whole or in part, or a lease or rental of the App without the authorization of the Company is prohibited under the Copyright Act.

Compliance of Laws and Regulations

  • In recognition that use of the App and technology used for the App (hereinafter referred to as the ''App and Technology Used Therefor'') may be subject to the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act and other export-related laws and regulations in Japan, and export restrictions based on the US Export Administration Regulations, and may qualify as products subject to the export restrictions of other countries, subscribers shall comply with these laws and regulations and may not transfer, export or re-export the App and Technology Used Therefor to the business enterprises, residents or citizens of embargoed countries or countries on which trade sanctions are imposed, or persons and enterprises with whom it is prohibited to conduct transactions, without proper government approval.
  • Subscribers shall not use the App and Technology Used Therefor to develop, manufacture or use weapons of mass destruction including nuclear weapons, or conventional weapons that are stipulated by the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act and other export-related laws and regulations in Japan.

Suspension of Use and Compulsory Cancellation

  • The Company may suspend use of the Service or cancel the contract for the Service when any of the following apply to a subscriber. In such cases, the Company will notify the subscriber in advance of the suspension or cancellation unless it is impossible to do so.
    • When a subscriber engages in acts that are stipulated by the Service Agreement, the Terms of Use or the License as prohibited acts (e.g. acts that can potentially produce communication congestion, or acts of sending communications to a large indefinite number of people for the purpose of commercial advertising or soliciting, or sending communications that are disgusting or potentially disgusting to others).
    • When a subscriber fails to pay fees and charges or there is the possibility that the subscriber will fail to pay fees and charges. (Such as credit card status can not be used,failed to pay for the OCN that have been payment combined with 050 plus charges.).
    • When a subscriber engages in acts that significantly interfere with the Company's execution of business or impair the Company's telecommunications equipment, or there is the possibility that the acts will interfere with the execution of business or impair the telecommunications equipment.
    • When it is learned that the subscriber has provided false information in applying for the Service.
  • The Company will cancel suspension of use for reason of non-payment after confirming that the subscriber has made payment. There may be a time lag between payment confirmation and cancellation of suspension of use.
  • When the charge for calls through the Service exceeds a certain amount (¥30,000), the Company may notify the subscriber to confirm the content of the contract from the number "0570-064-050". When the content of the contract cannot be confirmed because the Company is unable to contact the subscriber or for some other reason, the subscriber's use of the Service may be suspended.
  • If Company judges that illegal or unauthorized calls are made to a particular destination, country or area by a third party, Company may restrict or suspend the transmission of calls to such particular destination, country or area.
  • To protect Company's telecommunication equipment from unauthorized access, Company might suspend whole or a part of our services if required.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

  • When the Service was not provided on the grounds attributable to the Company, as a general rule, the Company will compensate subscribers for damages incurred only if the Service was continuously unusable for at least 24 hours from the time the Company learned that subscribers were completely unable to use the Service. In this case, the number of days the Service was continuously unusable shall be calculated by dividing the amount of time the Service was continuously unusable into periods of 24 hours (a fraction of less than 24 hours shall be rounded off) and the total amount of fees for use of the Service for the amount of days calculated shall be deemed as damages incurred. The Company shall compensate subscribers only for those damages (for detailed information, refer to the Service Agreement and the Terms of Use).
  • When it becomes difficult to provide the Service for any reason not attributable to the Company such as due to changes in regulations formed with partner companies or others that are involved in provision of the Service or for some other reason, the Company shall not be liable for damages.
  • Subscribers may not be able to use the App when work is being done on the Company's equipment. Advance notice will be given of the schedule for work on the Company's equipment(http://support.ntt.com/050plus/) provided, however, that this shall not apply in unavoidable circumstances.

Miscellaneous

  • Whenever the content of 050 plus Important Matters is changed or updated, notification will be made on the Company's Web site (http://050plus.com/sp/agreement/an/service-agreement.html) and others.

    • Important information, for example service, fee changes, construction information will be contacted by email, and SMS etc..
